September 1, 2010 - Engine
502 "The Deuce" was officially sold and taken away on Wednesday
July 28th. The old girl has become the property of the Robbinston
Fire Department located in the most eastern part of Maine.
Their the 1990 Saulsbury Pumper will serve as one of there main
line pumpers. It will be replacing a 1968 open cab Mac Engine.
The New Engines (2010 KME Custom Predators) had their cab and chassis
inspections by the Truck Committee on Tuesday August 24th.
The motor for one of the chassis's was already installed with the second
soon to follow. Both cabs were in the final stages of wiring
being wired up. The committee missed the cab being seated on the
chassis by only a day.
While at the factory, the committee finalized the layout of the front dog
house, the layout of tools/equipment inside the cab, discussed
the paint scheme, and had other additional minor changes to the
truck specifications.
Dryden's Engine 501 (1993 Spartan-Saulsbury) is currently still up for
sale.

Rollover in Cornfield
On Wednesday
July 28th Dryden Fire Department was dispatched for a one car
rollover with one person already self extricated at the
intersection of Ferguson and Irish-Settlement Roads. Ambulance
551 responded Driven by Joe Pucinischi with Paramedic Liz
Nadziejko.
Engine 501 responded a minute later driven by FF. Adam Talbot with a crew
of FF. Marc Ninivaggi and FF. Frank Palmer.
Ambulance 551 was first on scene. Patient assessment began and a standing
takedown on the roadside was performed.
Engine 501 arrived on scene and became Dryden command.
Firefighters checked the car for hazards and other victims,
finding none.
Fire Police Maynard Wells assisted NY State Police with traffic control
on Ferguson road and FF. Doug Cotterill
manned Dryden Station. Dryden Fire Units were back in-service by
2:30PM
