Emergency
Lights
Red & White Lights are
used by:
* Fire Trucks
* Police Cars
* Ambulances
* Fly Cars
* & Fire Chiefs
If one of these vehicles is behind you with it's lights and
siren on. By New York State Law you must pull over and stop.
If one of these vehicles is coming in the opposite direction
you still must pull over and stop.
The
Blue
Light
The blue light
is a courtesy light only.
It is not an emergency light. A car with a
flashing
blue light is a
volunteer firefighter responding to an emergency.
It is to alert other drivers that
we are on our way to an emergency. It's up to other
drivers to pull over and let us go by. It could give us the
extra time to save a life or stop a fire. We could be going
to help someone you know or even a family member.
That's why when
you see a
BLUE LIGHT,
please pull over.
In an emergency seconds count.
